Placement drive: 136 get jobs

Amritsar: As many as 136 students of the Global Group of Institutes have got jobs during the ongoing campus placement drive. The students have been placed in various national and multinational companies, including Vedantu, Piaggio, Extramarks, Net2source, Go Doctor Solutions, Suave Auto, Trovo India, JBM and Orbitsys Technologies. Vedantu has selected 14 students at a salary package of Rs10 lakh per annum. Extramarks has selected six students at a salary package of Rs4.02 lakh per annum. Dr Akashdeep Singh Chandi, vice-chairman of the group, congratulated the students and wished them success in their life. Col Sudhir Bahel, Dean, Placement and Training Cell, oversaw the recruitment proceedings.

School students shine in special games

Amritsar: Students of Bhavan’s Muskaan School performed well during the fourth District Special Olympics Games held at Khalsa Collegiate School here from February 4 to 5. A total of 250 students from 25 schools participated in the two-day games. Degasis, Saksham, Mannat, Ashveen, Anushka, Khushi, Aryan and Amraj from Bhavans Muskaan School won gold during the games. Sehaj won a silver medal and Simran bagged bronze in various events. Bhavan’s Muskaan School also bagged the overall championship trophy. “With this, the students have proved that inability is no longer an obstruction in showing skills and talent,” said school chairman Avinash Mohindru.
