The Customs Department has confiscated around one kg of gold after checking a flight, arrived from Dubai at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport here on Saturday. According to information, the flight arrived from Dubai at 2.40 pm.
During the routine checking, the department seized 940 gm of gold in the form of foil paper sheets from the bags of two passengers.
The Customs Department has taken both the passengers into its custody and initiated further inquiry.
It was also learned that three persons from Haryana, who had come to collect the gold, were also detained by the Customs Department.
