Amritsar: A father-son duo was booked on Tuesday for duping an elderly here. The accused have been identified as Sumit Khanna and his son, Sanyam Khanna, both residents of Chitta Katra. The victim, Shamma, stated in his complaint that the accused stole his ATM card and debited Rs2,45,000 from his account. ASI Ashwani Kumar said, during preliminary investigation, it was found that the complaint used to live alone. Sanyam, used to deliver tiffin to him and gained trust of the victim who shared his ATM card pin with him. The accused withdrew Rs2.45 lakh from his account. A case under Sections 420, 120-B of the IPC has been registered said the police. TNS
