2 girls held for impersonation

The police arrested two girls on the charge of impersonation during the Class XII Punjabi paper of the PSEB on Friday.
A girl was found sitting in the exam on behalf of her friend. The Education Department handed them over to the police which registered a case against them and launched further investigations.
Harpreet Singh, centre superintendent, said he was on duty at Government Senior Secondary School, Chowk Lakshmansar, on Friday. There was Punjabi (elective) paper of Class XII. Singh said he found a girl giving the examination suspected and during checking of documents it was found that the girl was sitting on the behalf of her friend of similar name.
After the examination, when she came to take her friend, they also nabbed her and handed over to women cops.
A case under Sections 419 (cheating by impersonation), 420 (cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against them at the C Division police station.
