The police arrested two persons with 1,130 intoxicating pills in separate cases here on Monday.

The police said that a police team led by Sub-Inspector Sukhdev Singh, in-charge, Anti-Narcotic Cell, arrested one person, identified as Satnam Singh, a resident of Khalra, with 800 tablets of tramadol from the local Focal Point.

The police informed further that the police party of the city police led by Sub-Inspector Naresh Kumar arrested a person of the local Kajikot road and recovered 330 intoxicating tablets from him.

Cases under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, have been registered against the accused.
