Kulwinder Singh Kairowal, zone president, and Baljit Singh Chabal, general secretary, respectively, of the Bir Baba Budha Sahib zone unit of the organization, addressed the meeting. Addressing on the occasion, the leaders said that the village level units of the KMSC were assigned duties to get ready to take part in the Delhi struggle.

Many participants were busy in preparing a makeshift room-like structure on their trolleys. They would also be carrying ration and other things of requirement with them from homes. The leaders said the farmers have lost their faith in the Union Government as the farmers were being bombarded with bomb shells and tear gas shells frequently.

The leaders alleged that police personnel have been asked by the government to treat us like enemies of the country, which was painful. The leaders said the second group would depart for Delhi en masse from Harike on February 21.
