The recovery of mobile phones and other objectionable articles from the Central Jail complex in Goindwal Sahib goes unabated. Piara Ram, Assistant Superintendent, Central Jail, said the staff during routine checking of wards of different barracks recovered 39 touch screen and keypad mobile phones, besides 19 earphones.

He said other objectionable articles recovered from the jail premises, include SIMs, chargers and batteries among other things. The police registered three cases under the Section 52 of the Prisons Act in this connection on Thursday.
