The minister took a serious note of the non-availability of ambulance service at the toll plaza. He issued instructions to the authorities concerned to station an ambulance at the site.

It was a matter of serious concern as members of the Sadak Surakhya Force too failed to reach the spot on time. SHO Sub-Inspector Amrik Singh said the car rammed the rear of the stationary truck resulting in the mishap. As the car crashed deep under the truck, the police faced a difficulty in carrying out rescue operation.

He said the car driver was responsible for the mishap as he failed to apply the brakes to avoid collision with the truck. Sanjeev Sood, a follower of the Dera Beas, said the car driver failed to apply the brakes resulting in the mishap. He said the injured were identified as two women, two kids and the car driver whose condition is stated to be out of danger.
