The police authorities said that a police team was holding naka near Bhindi Aulakh Kalan when they noticed three motorbike-borne persons coming along the kutcha lane of the village drain from Kuttiwal village side. They were stopped and during checking, the police found a packet of heroin which Lakhbir Singh had tied on to his waist with a black colour headgear.

A case under section 21, 25, 29, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act was registered against the suspects while further investigations were in progress to ascertain the source of the contraband. The drug was apparently smuggled through a drone.
