Hoshiarpur: A seven-day NSS camp commenced at Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri Regional Centre (PUSSGR) here on Thursday. Sukhminderjeet Singh, Commandant (Training), BSF, was the chief guest at the inaugural session. Vinay Arora, NSS incharge of boys, said the motive of the camp was to inculcate the spirit and zeal to serve humanity in NSS volunteers. Dr HS Bains, Director, PUSSGRC, applauded the NSS volunteers. Citing his real-life experiences during his posting, the chief guest said it was the need of the hour that the young generation was sensitised to serve their counterparts and fellow human beings to become better persons.
