80 artists display skills at KT Kala

Amritsar, January 20

A two-day artists' meet attended by various artists from across the region concluded here on Monday. The meet was organised by KT Kala, where several artists presented their paintings on social issues under one roof.

As many as 80 artists, including senior artists such as Kulwant Singh Gill, Atul Mehra, Dr Priyanka Sharma, Mala Chawla, Kamal Sehgal and others, from the city participated in the event. The event was inaugurated by eminent artist Dr Baldev Gambhir along with Rajesh Raina and KT Kala director Brajesh Jolly.

"The meet was a live art show, where artists painted in harmony, displaying their unique skills by working on various themes. The purpose to host such a meet was to bring together different perspectives of art for the art lovers and also celebrate the traditional as well modern art genres," said Brajesh Jolly.

Dr Baldev Gambhir said such art events in city would definitely inspire young artists and also give their work due visibility and appreciation. The works of the artists will be displayed at the KT Kala.
