AAP MLA Tong inaugurates roads worth Rs 1.29-crore in four villages

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Baba Bakala Sahib constituency, Dalbir Singh Tong, on Sunday inaugurated newly constructed roads measuring 7.09 km in total, built at a cost of Rs1.29 crore, in Thothian, Kaler Ghumman, Niranjanpur and Lohgarh villages.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Tong said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government was ensuring balanced development across all rural areas. He added that improving roads, streets and basic infrastructure in villages was a top priority so that people could travel easily and live comfortably.

He said the AAP government was committed to the development of all villages without discrimination. “These new roads will help farmers transport their crops to markets more easily and will provide students a safer way to reach schools,” he said.

MLA Tong further shared that several development works were already in progress in other villages of the constituency and many new projects would begin in the coming months. He assured residents that he would continue working for their comfort and welfare.

On this occasion, village sarpanches and local residents thanked MLA Dalbir Singh Tong, saying that with the improvement of roads, transportation had become easier and local economic activity had strengthened.
