Sawhney encouraged industrialists to obtain brass, silver, and gold certifications for their units to maximise the benefits offered under the state government’s incentive schemes.

General Manager-cum-Convener of the District Industry Centre Manavpreet Singh highlighted that the new Industrial Policy 2022 aims to promote industries in Punjab and generate employment. The policy provides several benefits, including exemptions from stamp duty, External Development Charges (EDC), and Change of Land Use (CLU) charges, as well as electricity duty and GST reimbursements. He added that detailed information on these facilities is available on the Punjab Business First portal.

The meeting was attended by officials from various departments, including Punjab Pollution Control Board Executive Engineer Sukhdev Singh, and Senior Assistants Ravinder Singh and Davinder Kaur.
