DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Saturday that preliminary investigations revealed the accused were acting on the directions of a Pakistan-based arms smuggler who had been using drones to drop consignments across the border. The trio had been tasked with supplying the arms and ammunition to criminals and gangsters in Punjab to fuel unlawful activities. A case has been registered at the State Special Operation Cell police station.
