Leaders of the union condemned non-payment of the monthly allowance to the employees of the anganwari centres of five blocks.

Anoop Kaur Baler, district president, and Beant Kaur, district secretary of the union, said employees had been taken over by the government for the last 11 months, but they have been working without the honorarium since then.

Other leaders too addressed on the occasion and demanded the honorarium of Rs 26,000 till they were given the status of NTT (teacher).
