Army personnel Kuldeep Singh (32) who died an unnatural death on Monday at the Jammu military cantonment was cremated today in his native Burj-169 village (under Chabal police station) with military honours. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sandeep Kumar along with other civil and military officials laid wreaths on the body of Kuldeep Singh. The military and civil administration officials refused to divulge the details of Kuldeep Singh’s death. However, the Deputy Commissioner said that the administration would follow the guidelines of the military in the matter.

Kuldeep Singh’s wife Harpreet Kaur, son Pardeep Singh (5) and daughter Ekam Kaur (13 months old) stayed with him in the military cantonment at Jammu. The body reached the village on Wednesday morning. The pyre was lit by Darshan Singh, father, and Pardeep Singh, son of the deceased. His wife Harpreet Kaur, father Darshan Singh and other family members expressed their resentment over the attitude of the officials of civil administration who returned without condoling the family.
