The Kausa Trust today hosted an artist meet at the KT: Kala Museum on the Lawrence Road here. Showcasing a vibrant display of creativity, bringing together 11 diverse talents and fostering an exchange of ideas within the artistic community, the event provided a platform for artists to share their experiences, techniques, and passion for the arts, creating a rich tapestry of inspiration and collaboration.

A distinguished gathering of senior artists from various cities converged at the workshop, creating a unique blend of artistic excellence and experience. The artists meet had eminent artists including Dr Sunil Saxena (Lucknow), Dr Angad Verma (Lucknow) and Dr Raghunath Sharma, who are all landscape artists and also conducted a live workshop on their respective styles. Dr Jaspal Singh from Hoshiarpur worked on the theme of unity in his own symbolic style using sombre colour palate. Eminent Patna-based artist Dr Chandra Bhushan Srivastava painted a composition of light and shade with acrylics, with abstract theme that he has extensively worked with Dr Lalit Gopal Parashar from Amritsar, Prashant Tripathi (Saharanpur) and Gurdeep Sharma (Mohali) painted the theme of Lord Ram, to celebrate the upcoming consecration of Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Balwinder Kumar from Nabha, painted himself in cartoon. Avnish Kumar Singh from Lucknow and Gurpreet Surkhaab from Chandigarh painted animal and human figures.

“The artists contributed to an enriching exchange of ideas, techniques, and perspectives, elevating the artistic discourse to new heights. The aim of this artist meet was to engage the city art students and patrons with live process of how an artist creates his work, understand the nuance of the process like colour composition and theme, while giving opportunity to students of art to interact with such celebrated names in field of art,” said Rajesh Raina, secretary, Kausa Trust, who inaugurated the two-day event.
