Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) today appointed noted academician and scholar of Punjabi Studies, Dr Atam Singh Randhawa as the new principal of historic Khalsa College. He joined his duty in the presence of top KCGC authorities including honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and other office-bearers.

With a PhD and Master’s in Punjabi, Dr Randhawa has more than 25 years of experience in teaching. He has been working as an Associate Professor and Head, Department of Punjabi Studies at Khalsa College, for the last many years. He has to his credit more than 200 publications and research papers. He was selected for the post following a rigorous interview process as per laid norms, said KCGC officials. Randhawa thanked the KCGC management, including president Satayajit Singh Majithia and RMS Chhina, for imposing faith in him to serve the college and promised to come up to their expectations.
