For every task, nodal officers have been appointed who are supervising their teams. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Paramjit Kaur said that to prevent the spread of diseases in villages, fogging and spraying have already been carried out. So far, fogging to drive away mosquitoes has been completed in 101 villages and spraying in 60 villages. She added that the work is continuing regularly.

From September 15, a cleanliness drive is being launched in villages to remove mud and silt from streets and drains. On Sunday, Gram Sabha meetings were held in every affected village. Each Gram Sabha was asked to choose a committee of five to seven members to oversee cleaning work and prepare a report on the damages in their village, including government buildings, streets and houses.

The ADC said that these committees will include the village sarpanch, panchayat secretary, retired employees, members of youth clubs, and other respected people from the village. Paramjit Kaur said that the main aim of the government is to restore normal life as early as possible. Roads and streets leading to the villages must be cleared so that they are made worthy of use again. These committees will also work for

environmental protection in their respective villages, she pointed out.
