Seventyfive-year-old Brij Mohan Khanna, founder chairperson of Khanna Paper Mill Pvt Ltd (KPML), was given the lifetime achievement award by Indian Pulp Paper Technical Association (IPPTA), which is an association of professionals engaged in pulp, paper, board newsprint, tissue and allied industries across India and overseas.

Joined by his wife Renu Khanna (66), they received the award from the functionaries of the IPPTA recently. Brij contributed a lot in the growth of Indian and International Paper Industry. Khanna Paper is the largest supplier in India and abroad for newsprint, writing, printing and kraft board. He had started the venture in 1965 with mere Rs 10,000. Today, it is worth Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000 crore. —
