A congregation in this regard was held in which the parents of students as well as local students participated in large numbers. Jaswant Singh Khalsa, chairman of the school managing committee, while addressing the gathering, said that Baisakhi is also known as the day of birth of the Khalsa Panth.
The festival was also celebrated at the local Mamta Niketan School.
