The vibrant festival of Basant Panchami was celebrated with fervour and grace on Saturday in different educational institutions of the area. At Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Chabal, the celebrations commenced with ‘Shabad Gayan’ in the morning assembly. Teacher Prabhsimran Kaur informed the students about the profound spiritual and cultural significance of Basant Panchami. The students presented a song woven around the essence of this auspicious festival. School principal Anureet Bawa spoke about the timeless values embodied in the festival of Basant Panchami like purity, unity and love.

The students of the local Mamta Niketan School presented a colourful cultural programme, symbolising the joy and vibrancy of spring. The atmosphere was imbued with warmth as students and teachers gathered to relish the traditional yellow sweets, enhancing the sense of community and celebration.
