Punjab Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Tuesday participated in the Bhagwan Valmiki’s Pargat Diwas celebrations here on Tuesday. He said Bhagwan Valmiki had taught the world to do good deeds and it is the duty of all of us to follow the path shown by him.

Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO paid obeisance at the temple of Bhagwan Valmiki at Ram Tirth and took blessings. “The biggest need of our society is that we educate our children about Bhagwan Valmiki, about Babasaheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar and what their contribution has been in shaping the country. Ambedkar gave us fair a platform through the Constitution only after getting education,” he said.

The Cabinet Minister said the immortal work of the first poet of Sanskrit, Bhagwan Valmiki, the great epic Ramayana, will continue to show the hidden path of truth till the end of the world.

He said the Punjab Government is committed to the welfare of the Valmiki community. Joining ETO was MLA Jasbir Singh Sandhu, MLA Dalbir Singh Tong, MLA Inderbir Singh Nijjar, Amritsar Improvement Trust Chairman Karamjit Singh Rintu and several others.
