BJP workers joining AAP, claims Kalsi

Working president of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, Sherry Kalsi, has claimed that a large number of BJP leaders have joined the party.

Sherry Kalsi added that CM Bhagwant Mann will hold a grand roadshow on October 17 in support of AAP candidate Harmeet Sandhu at Bodiwala Chaunk in, Tarn Taran. Sherry Kalsi said that the AAP received a major boost in Tarn Taran as several office-bearers and leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) joined in the presence of AAP Punjab Working President Amansher Singh ‘Sherry’ Kalsi, in the presence of state general secretary Dr SS Ahluwalia.

Addressing a press conference in Tarn Taran, MLA Sherry Kalsi said that under the leadership of Sarpanch Tehal Veer Singh, senior BJP leader Kashmir Singh (alias Bau Ji), Randhir Singh of village Palaser, Tarseem Singh Lambardar, Bhupinder Singh and Chhinder Singh, along with a large number of BJP leaders and workers, have rejected the BJP’s policies and joined AAP. He said these leaders have joined the party, being impressed by the pro-people work being done by the Bhagwant Mann-led government.

Sherry Kalsi said that the Aam Aadmi Party is the only political party that believes in performance-based politics. He said that whatever guarantees the AAP announced, have been fulfilled whereas previous governments only made false promises. The AAP government has delivered on historic initiatives such as 600 units of free electricity, Rs 1 crore honorarium for martyrs, one pension per MLA, Mohalla Clinics and Schools of Eminence.

The roadshow would be organised under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann and senior leader Manish Sisodia. along with village sarpanches, members and workers of the constituency. He further informed that on the same day, party candidate Harmeet Sandhu will also file his nomination papers.

The AAP leader asserted that the people of Tarn Taran are completely satisfied with the work of the AAP government, and in the coming days, even bigger names will be joining the party.
