The munshi of a brick kiln in Sugga village falling under the Bhikhiwind police station was found murdered under mysterious circumstances on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Romesh Kumar (66), son of Soorti Ram, a resident of Kurda village under Reikad (Kangra) police station, who had been working there for the last 22 years.

The incident was noticed by the workers of the brick kiln on Sunday. Bhikiwind SHO Manoj Kumar reached the spot with the police force. The police noticed that the deceased was strangulated and a sharp-edged weapon recovered from the spot.

The SHO said a case under Sections 103, 332 and 301 of BNS has been registered.
