Acting on reliable information provided by the intelligence wing of BSF, vigilant troops of the paramilitary force in collaboration with Punjab Police recovered a packet of heroin in the border belt of Tarn Taran.

A joint search operation by the BSF and Punjab Police led to the recovery of one packet of suspected heroin (gross weight 548 gram) at about 12:50 pm today, from a field adjacent to village Kalash in the district.

The narcotic was found wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a copper wire loop along with two luminous sticks attached to the packet.
