BSF nabs man with heroin
The BSF foiled the cross-border smuggling attempt and arrested a smuggler, a resident of Talwandi Rai Dadu village in Ajnala, with 495 gram of heroin from the district border belt.
A drone intrusion was detected by vigilant BSF troops at border area of the district during the evening hours of November 25. An ambush-cum-search operation was launched by BSF troops with its intelligence personnel in the suspected area.
The operation culminated in arrest of a narcotics smuggler near Ballahrwal village in the district. The accused was there to retrieve the narcotics consignment dropped by the drone.
