Tarn Taran, February 29
Border Security Force (BSF) troops intercepted the movement of a drone in a village along International Border in Tarn Taran district on Thurdsay morning.
Preetinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bhikhiwind, said the troops immediately followed the movement of the drone. During the search, they recovered one small drone along with one packet of heroin (approximately 542 grams).
The contraband was recovered from a farming field ahead of the border fence adjacent to Noorwala village in Tarn Taran district. The recovered drone is a quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 Classic).
Alert troops of the Border Security Force thwarted the attempt of Pakistani smugglers to drop narcotics through a drone.
