BSF seizes three drones, heroin

Border Security Force (BSF) jawans neutralised three Pakistani drones in the last 24 hours along the Indo-Pak border in Amritsar district. The recoveries also led to the seizure of a packet of heroin weighing 540 grams.

According to official sources, BSF personnel, using advanced technical countermeasures and swift ground action, intercepted two drones on Thursday. One DJI Mavic 300 RTK drone was recovered near village Chakallbaksh, while another DJI Mavic 3 Classic was found near Roranwala along the Amritsar sector.

In another operation early on Friday morning, BSF personnel detected and recovered one more DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone adjacent to village Kahangarh. During the search, a packet of heroin with a gross weight of 540 grams was also seized from the site.

Security agencies have been on high alert as Pakistan-based smugglers continue to deploy drones to push narcotics, contraband and sophisticated weapons including assault rifles and RPG launchers from across the border into Punjab.
