Christmas was celebrated in the campus of Ashok Vatika Public School. The festival is celebrated to mark the birth of Jesus Christ. The students from Grade 1 to 4 took part enthusiastically in the dance performances and recited Christmas carols. A speech on the importance of the day was also delivered on the life of Jesus Christ and his teachings. The students dressed up in the beautiful attire of Santa Claus and enjoyed the day with jubilation. They were narrated the story behind the celebrations of Christmas and the tiny kids created unforgettable memories by playing various games like balloon bursting and musical chairs. They also sang Christmas carols and rhymes with the teachers. To make this day more jovial, they were given stunning gifts. The whole school enjoyed the ecstasy of this special festival. Principal Anchal Mahajan urged the students to follow the teachings of Lord Christ and conveyed them the wishes for the day.

BBBK DAV College hosts havan

BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, organised a special Vedic Havan Yagya to commemorate the Martyrdom Day of Swami Shraddhanand. The Havan started with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra. Sudarshan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Committee, and Principal Dr Pushpinder Walia served as the chief guest. Inderpal Arya, president, Arya Samaj, Laxmansar, highlighted that Swami Shraddhanand started the age-old Gurukul tradition and put his words into action by fulfilling his determination to build Gurukul Kangri. The Department of Music presented a soulful bhajan.

Christmas at Excelsum High

Excelsum High School, Loharka Road, hosted a heart-warming Christmas celebration, filled with festive cheer and excitement. The event featured a delightful performance by Grade 1 students, who captivated the audience with their singing, role play and dance performances. The students’ enthusiasm and creativity were on display, spreading holiday joy to everyone in attendance. The highlight of the event was a special Christmas wish from the Director-Principal, Gunita Grewal, who extended heartfelt greetings to all students, wishing them a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
