Spring Blossoms School presented ‘Craft Exhibition 2025: The Journey of a Seed’ —a captivating thematic exposition, showcasing the vibrant Indian culture. It was inaugurated by Abhishek Sharma, IFS, Regional Passport Officer, Amritsar. This event showcased the artistic prowess of students, as they interpreted the journey of a seed through an array of craft displays. The show encompassed a manifestation of talent and hard work of tiny tots — a scintillating presentation of the harvest festivals Bihu, Onam, Pongal, Gudi Padwa and Baisakhi. Principal Anupama Mehra said, “Learning in Spring Blossoms transcends from the walls of the classroom to direct natural environment. It was not only an event displaying the artistic approach of children but also enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the world and their responsibility towards it.”

Students shine at national event

Three talented students from BBK DAV College for Women represented Punjab at the prestigious Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This national-level event, organised by the Department of Youth Affairs under the leadership of Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Labour and Employment and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, provided a unique platform for young minds to engage with policymakers and global leaders, contributing their innovative ideas towards shaping Viksit Bharat. Among the 3,000 dynamic and motivated youth across the country, three students Gurjot Kaur (BAJMC semester IV), Jasleen Kaur (BSc IT semester IV), Mehakdeep Kaur (BCom semester VI) of the college made it to the final stage.

Lecture on Personality organised

The PG Department of English of Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) organised an extension lecture on the ‘Role of Soft Skills in Personality Development’. Principal Dr AK Kahlon graced the occasion as the chief guest. Binod Kaur, associate professor and head department of Applied Science at Amritsar Group of Colleges, was the resource person. She explained that soft skills, the methods to acquire them and their role in personal and professional life. She also elaborated and illustrated how soft skills are complimentary to hard skills.
