Amritsar: DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, paid veneration to Guru Ravidas, the great saint of Bhakti Movement, who spoke against the caste system and contributed to social reforms. To mark Ravidas Jayanti, a special assembly was conducted wherein Principal Pallavi Sethi paid tribute to the great saint and highlighted his teachings. She said through his work, Sant Ravidas bound the society of his times with the thread of unity and worked for the welfare of all classes. She exhorted the students to adopt his teachings in their everyday life. Shabad was also recited.

The students of Khalsa College of Engineering and Technology have performed brilliantly in the university exams, setting a new benchmark by achieving outstanding results. Mehakdeep Kaur (Electronics and Communication Engineering) stood first in the IKG Punjab Technical University (PTU) with a CGPA of 9.25 and Satish Kumar bagged the third position in the university in Mechanical Engineering branch. Shaifali (BCA), with a CGPA of 9.46, stood third in the university and Ashish Kumari got the fifth position with a CGPA of 9.41. Ritik Chouhan was placed eighth in the university in Civil Engineering. In Post-Graduate Diploma in Digital Marketing, Harmanpreet stood first in the university, while Vishal Singh stood second. In Bachelors in Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Manjobandeep Kaur stood second and Simran of Computer Science and Engineering stood third. Principal Manju Sharma congratulated the achievers.
