Stalwarts World School celebrated National Girl Child Day with enthusiasm. Chief guest OP Soni, former Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab, encouraged students and said girls are the backbone of society. “The development of society is possible only through their education and empowerment. We must provide them with opportunities to excel in every field.” The highlights of the event included vibrant dances, street plays and songs based on the theme of the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign. The girls delivered inspiring poems and songs to underscore the invaluable contributions of daughters to society. Principal Manisha Dhanuka extended heartfelt wishes to all the girls on the special occasion.

Birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Baba Deep Singh, Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, GT Road, organised a special Ardaas Diwas. The day commenced with bhog of Sri Akhand Path, followed by the soulful recitation of kirtan. A collective ardaas was performed for the success of students in exams. CKD President Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar motivated students to follow Baba Deep Singh ji’s determination towards religion, bravery, honesty and fearlessness. He also inspired them to prepare for their exams with full dedication and concentration to get good marks. He said the school has been the city topper for the last many years, so the students have to work more hard to maintain this tradition.

student wins Gem of Sahodya Award

SSEC, Jandiala Guru, student Sehajpreet Kaur, a student of Class XII (Arts) won accolades by receiving Gem of Sahodhya Award. This award recognises not just academic brilliance but also qualities such as perseverance and empathy. She is a state-level player of kabaddi and had won many medals for the school. She dedicated this award to Principal Amarpreet Kaur and director Dr Mangal Singh Kishanpuri for being a consistent support to her in every field.

inter-school Science quiz organised

Chief Khalsa Diwan organised inter-school science quiz competition, in which 37 CKD schools participated. In the final competition, Fatehbir Singh of Class IX and Navya Mahajan of Class X of Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary School, GT Road, brought laurels to the school by winning the overall trophy. Principal Kawalpreet Kaur said students who enhance the glory of the school are a source of inspiration for others as well.

National Voters’ Day

A debate competition was organised on the eve of Voters’ Day to develop a sense of civic responsibility amongst students of the Global Group of Institutes, Amritsar. The participants from all the departments enthusiastically took part in this competition. They presented their ideas on the topic ‘Role of Youth in Democracy’. The session on Voters Day ended with an oath-taking ceremony for ethical participation in the polling process.
