Amritsar Director and founder Manjot Dhillon and Chairperson Ajit Dhillon, Invictus International School, celebrated its 10th anniversary with the annual production, Nirmaan, on December 6. The event brought together students, parents, alumni and dignitaries to honour a decade of learning, creativity and community. The star-studded event was graced by eminent persons, including Padma Shri awardee Anand Kumar, founder of Super 30, who inspired the audience with his life journey and transformative contribution to education. Also in attendance were guests of honour, Sakshi Sawhney, Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar and Sandeep Rishi, Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, whose exemplary leadership and community-building efforts were recognised during the ceremony. The evening was a perfect blend of music, dance and storytelling, reflecting the core values that define Invictus— progressiveness, courage, creativity, empathy, ambition and support. Performances ranged from heart-warming acts by students of Kindergarten to captivating display of talent by primary, middle school and senior students, with the school orchestra and choir setting a magical tone for the evening. The Invictus Longevity Awards were a touching highlight, honouring foundation teachers and administrative staff who have been instrumental in shaping the school’s success over the past decade. Additionally, the Invictus Spirit Awards recognised senior students who embodied the school’s core values.

Annual function at DAV

DAV International School principal Dr Anjana Gupta hosted its annual award distribution function, themed ‘Gyaan Yatra --- Sampoornta ki Aur’. The event highlighted the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. The chief guest on the occasion was Dr Adarshpal Vig, Chairman, Punjab Pollution Control Board. Speaking on the theme, Dr Anjana Gupta reflected on the challenges of modern youth, including a decline in moral values and detachment from cultural heritage. The students delivered a powerful theatrical performance titled ‘Gyaan Yatra --- Sampoornta ki Aur’, shedding light on the life and teachings of Acharya Chanakya. The ceremony honoured the achievements of students from the academic years 2022-23 and 2023-24. Awards were given to students excelling in CBSE Board exams, as well as winners of various sports and cultural competitions.
