Sidharth Sharma, a child prodigy of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, participated in Shree Baba Harivallabh Sangeet Pratiyogita, Devi Talab, Jalandhar in junior category in flute recital on December 24 and bagged the first position, demonstrating his talent and determination. School president Balbir Bajaj lauded the exuberant artist for his outstanding achievement. Principal Dr Vinodita Sankhyan bestowed her blessings upon him and encouraged him to pursue his passion. She highlighted that consistent hard work leads to success. Dr Sankhyan said that Sidharth's journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication, discipline and natural skill.

Veer Bal Diwas at BBK DAV

Amritsar: BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar, commemorated Veer Bal Diwas to honour the unparalleled valour of the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh as part of the series of activities of five-day Inter-state Junior Red Cross Training-cum-study camp being organised in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Punjab state branch, Chandigarh. On this occasion, Padma Shri awardee Dr Harmohinder Singh Bedi, Chancellor, Central University of Himachal Pradesh, was the chief guest. Dr Harmohinder Singh Bedi recalled the sacrifices made by the four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh and inspired the participants to honour their spirit of indomitable religious faith. Principal Dr Pushpinder Walia highlighted the significance of the remarkable bravery of the Sahibzadas who refused to renounce their faith despite extreme pressure and chose martyrdom rather than conversion. The musical tribute was followed by the screening of a movie “Chaar Sahibzaade”, after which a quiz session based on the movie was also held.

Inter-House Table Tennis Match

Jalandhar: Inter-house boys and girls singles table tennis final match was played in the courtyard of Kamla Nehru Primary School, Guru Hargobind Nagar, Phagwara. Shivalik and Himalaya House (Boys) played first and Ishhan from Shivalik House was the winner. In another match, Shivalik and Nilgiri (Girls), Dhriti from Shivalik House was the winner. Headmistress Jyoti Bhardwaj gave certificates and congratulated the winners and encouraged the runners-up players. She also motivated other students to participate in the game.
