Ansh Dadwal, a student of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, Amritsar, was conferred upon Gem of Sahodaya Award at annual function of Sahodaya Schools Complex, Amritsar. Dadwal, a Class XII student, received this award for his performance in academics and excellence in robotics. Dr Vinodita Sankhyan, president of the Sahodaya Schools Complex, honoured Dadwal on the occasion.

Two-day rejuvenation experiential education programme was organised for the students of Grade VI at Spring Dale Senior School. The students got the opportunity to experience Amritsar’s rich heritage site of Pul Moran together with a fun visit to Wetland and War Memorial. Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, chairman of the Spring Dale Educational Society, said 425 students of Grade V were taken to Pul Moran on Day-I of the camp, where they participated in several games. “This educational trip afforded the learning experience of rich cultural heritage of the city amalgamated with the lessons in perseverance, discipline, co-ordination, teamwork and sportsmanship in the young learners,” said Sandhu.
24 girls to be honoured on jan 24
Principal Manisha Dhanuka and president of the Mann Dhiyaan Te Samaj Bhalai Society, Gurinder Singh Mattu, released the poster of the programme to be organised on the occasion of ‘National Girl Child Day’ on January 24 at Stalwarts World School. Twenty-four girls, who have performed best in the field of education, will be honoured by the Mann Dhiyaan Te Samaj Bhalai Society. Principal Dhanuka and Mattu said they would organise a poster exhibition to make the students aware about female foeticide and social evils. Mattu said the National Girl Child Day also makes us aware to give the girl child her rights.
