Tarn Taran: An educative and motivating lecture ‘Do you have it in you’ was delivered at NDA preparatory Institute of Nishan-E-Sikhi. Major General S.Pawar, Vishist Seva Medal ( retd.) delivered the lecture. Salient aspects covered by the speaker were definitions, styles, theories, attributes and qualities of leadership. Further development of mind and body essential for defence leaders was deliberated upon which contributed immensely towards motivating the young NDA aspirants. The General served in Defence Services Staff College, Willington as instructor for two tenures. He served in the Indian Army for 38 years during which he excelled as Battalion Commander in Siachen Glacier. Brigade Commander in Counter insurgency in J and K and Division Commander in Deserts. He has done a number of foreign assignments during his service as Officer Commanding and Senior Instructor Wanchuk Lo Dzong Military School, Bhutan and as Commandant and Team leader of Indian Army Training Team Botswana (Africa). Baba Sewa Singh patron of the Institute honoured the General for his services.OC
