Canara Bank donates ambulance to SGPC

At Harmandar Sahib, the keys of the ambulance were handed over to SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said that alongside managing gurdwaras, the SGPC was also providing significant services in the fields of education and health. “The Sangat and various institutions contribute greatly to the work of the Committee. Today, Canara Bank has gifted an ambulance under its CSR programme for the convenience of the Sangat,” he added.
He noted that other banks had also contributed to SGPC services in the past and expressed hope that Canara Bank would continue to extend cooperation. Dhami honoured the bank officials with a siropa and a model of Harmandar Sahib.
On the occasion, Canara Bank chairman Hardeep Singh Ahluwalia said that with the blessings of Guru Sahib, the bank had made a small contribution for the benefit of the Sangat. He lauded the SGPC’s service initiatives, saying their impact directly reached the people and thanked the SGPC president for the honour.
