Car rams into BRTS grills

Amritsar, July 26

A car rammed into bus rapid transit system (BRTS) grills near the Gwalimandi Chowk area here today morning. Car occupants had a narrow escape in the incident.

According to the police, the car was apparently being driven at high speed. Due to heavy rains that lashed the city around 5 am, the car driver lost control over the vehicle while it was entering the BRTS corridor and rammed into grills and concrete pillars.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
