Gurdev Singh said the Central Government had failed to control the prices of onions, which has badly affected the domestic budget of middle class families. He demanded that the state government should scrap power purchase agreements with private companies in the interest of state people, who are reeling under high power prices.

The party submitted a memorandum, addressed to the Centre and the state government, to Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal, Deputy Commissioner. The protesters demanded that the articles of daily use should be available at cheaper rates. The volunteer raised slogans against the governments for their failure to give relief to people.
