AAP MLA and Leader of Opposition in the Vidhan Sabha Harpal Singh Cheema has held the Congress and the previous SAD-BJP government responsible for ills in the state. He sought the support of people for strengthening AAP in the district for the betterment of the state.
He was here today to mobilise party workers to gear up their activities for the ‘Mission-2022’ to get gearshift in the state election.
Addressing party volunteers he said the state was under a debt of Rs 2.5 lakh crore, which was merely Rs 8,000 crore in 1992. He criticised the previous governments for their wrong and anti-farmer policies. He alleged that the state was passing through a financial crises and it was even not in a position to pay timely salary of its employees.
Lashing out at the Capt Amarinder Singh government, the AAP leader said the incumbent government had failed to fulfill the poll promises it made with farmers and other sections of the society. He alleged that illegal mining was rampantly going on under Amarinder Singh government and had been causing huge loss to the state exchequer.
The AAP leader called the volunteers to be ready for the 2022 Vidhan Sabha elections. Cheema addressed the volunteers at Chamba Kalan, Dhand and Khamkaran too.
Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, party’s Majha zone convener, Dr Kashnir Singh Sohal ,state president of the Intellectual Cell, Manjinder Singh Sidhu, youth wing president of the party were also present on the occasion.
