Chemist booked for theft in his own shop

A chemist was booked for theft in his own medical store, which was sealed by the Health Department following a complaint of selling banned medicines in Jandiala area. The accused has been identified as Tajinder Singh of Fathegarh Rajputan.

Dr Sumit Singh, Senior Medical Officer, Community Health Centre (CHC), stated in his complaint that a medical team had sealed the shop on February 5. They got information that on February 14, someone broke the wall of the shop and stole the medicines.

The Health Department officials conducted an independent probe in this regard and found that Tajinder Singh stole the medicines.

Tajinder Singh, works as a chemist at Jhand village, and someone had filed a complaint against him for selling banned medicines.

The Jandiala police registered a case under Sections 457, 380,201 of the IPC and 15 of Indian Medical Council Act, (IMA) on the complaint of health officials.
