Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar has officially resumed full-scale operations for all commercial and civil flights, both domestic and international as of 10.18 am on Monday following a temporary suspension of the services in the aftermath of military action last week.

Airport authorities have confirmed that all necessary safety checks, security protocols, and technical preparations have been successfully completed. With all systems operational, the airport is now fully functional and equipped to handle regular air traffic. Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for the latest updates on flight schedules.

Suman Das, Media Manager at the airport, said, “The airport is now ready and open for all commercial, civil, domestic, and international flight operations.”

Among the first airlines to resume services is IndiGo Airlines. The carrier will restart operations from Amritsar today, with Flight 6E2045 scheduled to depart from Delhi at 8.00 pm and arrive in Amritsar at 9.10 pm. The return leg, Flight 6E5215, will depart from Amritsar at 9.40 pm and is expected to arrive at Delhi’s IGI Airport (Terminal 3) by 10.55 pm.

The resumption comes after flight operations at the airport were abruptly halted on May 10 as part of the nationwide airspace restrictions following India’s military operation, ‘Operation Sindoor’, which targeted several locations across Pakistan. Amritsar was among several northern airports affected, with all 22 scheduled flights cancelled on that day, leading to widespread disruption and inconvenience for travellers.
