Amritsar, February 18
Hardik Sharma, a Class X student of Bhavan’s SL Public School, topped the state in the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), the results of which were declared recently.
Hardik scored 190 marks out of 200 in the stage I of the NTSE. Bhavan’s student Shivay Gupta also brought laurels to the institution and the city by securing the 20th rank in the state.
The NTSE is one of the most prestigious national-level scholarship programmes in the country to identify and nurture talent. The NTSE-qualified students get scholarships for pursuing courses in science and social-science up to the doctoral level and in professional courses such as medicine and engineering up to the second degree level.
The examination helps students access the level of competence in logical reasoning. Besides, the Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) help students build their strength and pave a path for developing their expertise further.
Harpreet Singh of Sri Ram Ashram School secured the fourth rank in the state, while Shivansh Mangal, Swati Singh and Radhika Pal also cleared the exam.
Deepanika Gupta and Abhishek Choudhary, both students of DAV International School, bagged the 29th and 134th ranks in the state, respectively.
Mankaran Singh from Springdales School bagged the 108th rank with 166 marks.
