Dr Jaspreet Kaur Sobti, a city-based dental surgeon, has added another accolade to her growing list of pageant titles by securing the position of first runner-up at the prestigious Mrs India International 2025. Dr Sobti, who serves as the Operations Head at Dr Om Prakash Hospital, has been passionately pursuing her dreams in the world of pageantry for several years.

“Most people believe that married women are well-settled and and do not want any disruption in their lives. But the truth is, there is no age limit to follow your passion or to choose a different path. I’ve been making bold choices for a long time,” she said.

In 2021, Dr Sobti won the second runner-up title at Mrs India Earth, and she continues to represent a growing number of Punjabi women, who are taking a lead in beauty pageants.

Reflecting on her journey, she said her curiosity to explore her potential motivated her to register for the contest. “I’ve always wanted to discover new dimensions of myself. After winning the Mrs Amritsar title, I represented Punjab at Mrs India Earth. These titles aren’t just superficial, they come with a sense of power, about your string sense of self and a responsibility to create positive change in society.”

A true multitasker, Dr Sobti said that undue pressure of societal pressures on women, especially women, is something she wants to break through.

“This time, I entered the pageant with a broader vision. I want women to step out of the comfort zones and break free from the boxes society puts them in. It has been an emotional roller coaster, but my message to all is to stand up for yourself,” she added.
