During a meeting held at the Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD) head office, its members expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad and expressed solidarity with the families of the victims. Chief Khalsa Diwan president Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the accident and shared condolences with the affected families and loved ones left behind.

During the meeting, Chief Khalsa Diwan vice-president Santokh Singh Sethi and other members said the accident due to a technical fault is a very painful and distressing incident, which has shaken everyone. The CKD office-bearers and members prayed for peace to the departed souls, strength to their families in this hour of grief and a speedy recovery of the injured.
