College notes: Yuva Utsav
Students of Shri Ram Ashram Public School, The Mall, Amritsar, participated in the district-level Yuva Utsav held at Khalsa College, Amritsar, on December 20. The students took part in six categories and achieved remarkable success, making the School proud. The robotic team of the School, comprising two students, Ansh Kumar and Ansh Dadwal, created a working model of a Glacier Aquatic Pre-drainage System and secured the first position, along with a cash prize worth Rs 7,000, in the Science Fair Competition. This impressive feat was achieved by beating 18 teams from across the city. In the Mobile Photography Competition, our student, Krish Kashyap, marked his presence by securing the 1st position in all three categories. He lifted the trophy and received a cash prize of Rs 2,500 after beating 25 teams in a tough competition. Principal Vinodita Sankhiya applauded the winners, who brought laurels to the school.
Founder’s Day celebrated
Amritsar: Partap World School, Pathankot, and PWS Early Years celebrated Founder’s Day – Dharohar 2024. Marking 18 years in education, the event showcased the school’s commitment to academic brilliance, cultural heritage, and confidence-building among its students. The event witnessed an turnout of over 3,500 attendees, including parents, doctors, dignitaries, defense personnel, and other esteemed personalities from Pathankot and Jammu & Kashmir. The chief guest for the occasion was Rajouri MLA Iftekhar Ahmed, while the Additional Sessions and District Judge, Sopore, graced the event as the guest of honour. The celebrations featured 1,800 students participating in over 40 performances, reflecting a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Events included musical orchestras, traditional bhangra, captivating cultural dances, western and retro performances, and a grand display of the rich heritage of India. Director Sunny Mahajan expressed his gratitude to the attendees, highlighting the school’s journey of 18 glorious years. Principal Subhra Rani expressed her pride in the students and faculty.
