The district administration has appealed to the farmers that as per the orders of the National Green Tribunal, burning of crop residue in fields is banned. For the purpose of ensuring that no farmer burns crop residue, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney appointed nodal officers and made their telephone numbers public so that they can be contacted in case of requirement for machines for alternate management of crop residue.
