Dal Khalsa leads march to commemorate Operation Bluestar

To mark the 41st anniversary of Operation Bluestar, Sikh organisation Dal Khalsa organised out a march, passing through various roads, today.

Activists of SAD (Amritsar), led by Simranjit Singh Mann, and Bhai Daljit Singh of Panth Sewak Jatha also participated in the march.

Starting from Burj Akali Phoola Singh, the march concluded at Golden Temple, where Ardas was performed at Akal Takhat.

Kanwar Pal Singh, Dal Khalsa’s secretary for political affairs, said the people of Punjab did not want war along its borders. The participants were also carrying banners and placards pleading India and Pakistan to end hostilities and open borders for trade and pilgrimage, including the Kartarpur corridor.

The organisation also called for ‘Amritsar Bandh’ on June 6 in protest against Operation Bluestar.
