DAV College gets Rs 5L grant for installing solar system
Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO while distributing prizes to players during the 68th Annual Sports Festival at DAV College. Amritsar, announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for installing a solar system in the college and for the students’ education.
Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta said ETO was an alumnus of the college and did his MA in political science from DAV College, Amritsar.
BB Yadav, president, sports board, praised the students who participated in the games and presented the annual sports report and informed the students about the importance of sports and made them aware of the college’s achievements in sports. Various sports like 100m runs, 400m, 1000m tug-of-war and many other sports were organized in the college in which the students showed great participation.
The meet featured a variety of athletic competitions (including track and field events), such as sprints, long-distance races, relay races, high jump, long jump, shot put, and discus throw. Both individual and team events provided a platform for students to showcase their sportsmanship and competitive spirit.
